Senior Role in Research and Development About Our Client Our Client is a local branch of a multinational company specialized in the production of multilayer and advanced thermoplastic films for various industrial sectors. The company offers customized solutions thanks to its exclusive know-how and continuous technological innovations. Job Description We are looking for an experienced R&D Director who will drive the innovation of products, in strong partnership with other top managers, to improve our Client's presence in new and consolidated markets and sectors. Leading a team of 7 people, he/she will be in charge of developing the roadmap for innovation, with attention to sustainability and green themes. Main Responsibilities Include: Define the strategy for developing new products, identifying new market opportunities to explore. Supervise the development of new products, managing timelines, budget requirements, and Client's satisfaction. Coordinate the R&D department with other relevant functions (production, marketing, and sales) to guarantee timely and successful delivery of projects. Promote and nurture an eco-friendly approach in Research and Development. Guide, support, and grow the R&D team, both in qualitative and quantitative terms. Guarantee that all products comply with safety, health, and environmental regulations, both nationally and internationally. The Successful Applicant The Successful Candidate is a solid manager with strong experience in the R&D department of chemistry companies. He/She should have: Master's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or other relevant technical disciplines. PhD in chemistry will be considered a big plus. Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in managerial positions in R&D. Solid experience in chemistry and plastics processes, especially cast, blow, and coating. Proven experience in managing technical teams in complex projects. Fluency in English (Italian knowledge will be considered a plus). What's on Offer Challenging and international context.
