As a Chemist you will develop, industrialize, maintain, support manufacturing activities for Collision, Commercial Transportation and Light Industrial Coating products range required to meet customer needs.

**Key **Responsibilities

- Work at the development of advanced materials and formulations for industrial and commercial use

- Design and execute laboratory experiments to test performances of coating materials.

- Connect with suppliers and stay updated on their newest market innovations

- Build and share knowledge about coatings

- Analyze and interpret experimental results acquired.

- Maintain and communicate results through written and verbal reports.

- Cooperate with different colleagues and functions within all PPG divisions and external parties (i. e. Marketing, other areas of R&D, Suppliers/Customers)

- May manage extra laboratory constraints (marketing delays, preparation and modality of registration files).

- Independently make decisions on problems and methodology issues and secures necessary resources.

- Develop professional relationships with different raw materials suppliers to acquire all the information to develop new products and products range maintenance and to find the lower price raw materials. When necessary, work together with raw materials supplier and customer to improve final product performance.

- Ensure compliance with regional EU and national quality standards and safety norms.

- Support the countries/regions sales force developing valuable products in a timely manner and providing customized paint system information/test results.

**Qualifications

- University Degree in Chemistry, Chemical engineering or equivalent. Nice to have PhD

- Broad knowledge and significant experience in the paint refinish and industry (Prior experience in similar industries is an advantage)

- Proactive approach

- Good computer skills (familiarity with Microsoft

- and other software)

- Ability to work independent as well as in a team

- Proven experience in R&D Lab

- Able to work optimally with all levels of sales, marketing, management, customers.

- Ability to effectively prioritize and balance multiple activities

- Good written and speaking English proficience

- Outstanding interpersonal and organizational skills as well as leadership experience
