Dematic is seeking a R&D Mechanical Product Engineer to design and develop parts and sub-systems for complex machinery. This role involves overseeing the full design process, testing, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of experience, strong CAD skills, and excellent communication abilities in English.

Tasks and Qualifications: The activities include:

Completes simple and complex designs of parts and sub-systems of complex machines. This includes the design of machined, extruded, sheet metal, and plastic parts. Completes the design process from development, component test, sub-system integration, prototype machine builds and test, validation, and support of product release. Prototype machine assembly may require lifting of up to fifty pounds and standing for up to eight hours per day. Support to operations, sales, applications, manufacturing first build, and installation. Creates and understands testing requirements, assists in determining the best method of testing, may assist in testing, and understanding testing results as related to product performance. Assists in on-site product validation, ensuring products perform in the intended manner. Must be able to work in a team atmosphere both internal and with external departments. This will include design reviews, team collaboration on designs and problems, and other project work. Requirements: Minimum of 3-5 years experience in Mechanical Engineering. Working knowledge of commercial CAD software, such as NX, SolidWorks, Creo. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word. Ability to communicate at all levels. Good level in English language is mandatory (spoken and written). Further foreign languages are an advantage.
