European Pizza Group (E. P. G. ) is a Joint Venture between the biggest Food company worldwide, Nestlé, and Equity Fund PAI partners. The JV was created in September 2023 with the objective to provide the best environment to develop the frozen Pizza business, creating a fully focused, stand-alone, agile and resource backed player to succeed in this competitive arena. EPG is present in Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal, France, Benelux and Austria with two leading brands: Wagner and Buitoni.
R&D PRODUCT AND PROCESS SPECIALIST The position will be placed in the Technical R&D Unit, which oversees end-to-end the research and development/industrialization and continuous improvement of the products and develop new products.
Main scope: to ensure the development of new products. Furthermore, He/She will manage the development and improvement of existing products, also through close collaboration with Factories.
Main Tasks/Activities:Support the R&D team in ensuring the development of new technology and product evolution (new products, improvements to existing ones, etc. ). Support constant improvement (performance) of existing products and production systems. Provide technical sheet on product-process supporting factories. Coordinate and supervise the execution of trials for new process technologies and new machineries, measured by KPI's. Take part into discussion with the technical teams, in the design of new machineries or modifications of the existing ones. Manage development, scale up and implementation of new and existing technologies to improve the performance of existing products. Explore innovative application of product/process possibilities based on current state-of-the-art food technology. Serve as technological resource for develop a robust pipeline of product development opportunities. Leverage food processing expertise to advance operational standards and training for the current pizza production processes. Apply technological expertise to projects and challenges, demonstrating highly developed problem-solving skills and implementation skills. Support product formulation including appropriate ingredient, nutritional, regulatory, and analytical requirements. Initiate and implement cost reduction ideas for assigned products, processes, and equipment. RequirementsBachelor's degree in Food science and technology, Food Engineering, Biology, or equivalent2-3 Previous Professional Experience in food factory in Production or R&D dept. Strong skills with MS Office (especially PowerPoint and Excel)English professional proficiency required; any other language is a plus. Project ManagementExcellent relational skillsComplexity managementAvailability to business trips (mainly to Europe)SAP knowledge(Only cvs submitted in English will be considered)
Contract : Full Time, Permanent
Schedule : 8 hours/5 days
