**This position reports to**:
R&D Department Lead
**Your responsibilities**:
- You will be part of the R&D center IT, responsible for several electromechanical and electronic devices, including low voltage protection (RCCB, RCBO, MCB, meters, motor reclosing, fuseholders, ), measurement devices and enclosures.
- Reporting directly to the R&D manager, you will manage the execution of one or more R&D projects (new product introduction projects) to meet project targets, with responsibility of all elements of the project/s.
You will coordinate and motivate a cross-functional team, that could be mainly local (colleagues from Vittuone MI and Santa Palomba RM) or also predominantly global, with internal and external resources.
- You will ensure the achievement of all tasks and milestones, transferring the project results to relevant line organization and capturing the lessons learned
- You will ensure that the project follows sound methodology and execution practices in accordance with standard ABB Product Group internal directives and procedures.
You will manage uncertainties, risks and change requests, defining the proper mitigation actions.
- You will serve as the key contact for the project stakeholders, communicating effectively and in a transparent way the appropriate information to stakeholders, in a timely manner and to achieve desired understanding and support.
- You will use own technical domain knowledge to provide technical support to the team.
**Your background**:
- Bachelor or Master degree in Engineer or similar
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and get results with many priorities
- Good leadership skills, to guide people and to create engagement in the team, sense of urgency and result orientation approach
- Good communication skills to handle different perspectives or different stakeholders and achieve buy-in
- Previous experience in Pj management in similar environment and coordination of people/tasks are a plus, such as knowledge of Agile Principle and tools (Jira, )
- Good level of English and Italian, both written and spoken.
Ability to work in global context, collaborating effectively with different culture and mindset
- Good knowledge of electromechanical and electronic low voltage devices (RCCB, RCBO, MCB, meters, motor reclosing, fuseholders, ) can facilitate the onboarding
- Good structured approach to problem solving, balancing theoretical/numerical and experimental approaches
- Digital skills and mindset
