We are currently looking for an R&D Specialist to join our R&D Food Department.

The role supports the R&D Manager and assists in product development and production scale up along with daily execution of R&D activities related to assigned brands/projects.

In particular, starting from Marketing inputs, as consumer/customer needs and requirements, evaluates current and alternative food ingredients, creating new food product recipes.

Participates on cross functional teams to ensure effective resolution of technical issues and support product innovation.

Provides periodical assistance to QA and Purchase team.

**Tasks & Responsibilities

- Contribute in realizing new product development projects and innovation (in-house and with co-packers) regularly working together with departments: Marketing, Purchasing, R&D Pack, Quality Assurance, Regulatory, Engineering and Finance

- Working together with QA Specialist, propose to R&D Manager how to develop and implement standards, procedures and technical activities for the industrial plants

- Suggest new ideas in order to improve existing products and processes, providing input into cost and timing optimization

- Drives the continuous improvement approach, assisting QA in problem solving/root cause investigations of production problems

- Guarantee product shelf-life study for assigned products

**Requirements**:

- Food technology degree or other scientific degree (Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical degree)

- 3+ years in the R&D role - Food within Food & beverage Industry (preferably within B2C market)

- Advanced scientific and food technology knowledge

- Good knowledge of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)

- Advance computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, and database navigation)

- Product Life-cycle Management tool usage

- Preferably know-how on sensory analysis

- Written and verbal communication skills

- Demonstrated strong organizational skills

- Fluent in English
