Your role and responsibilities As a core member of the R&D Sustainability team in Smart Power Division (CoE LCA & Eco-design), you will join our multidisciplinary group of engineers working in the field of Product Sustainability and Circularity.

In this role you will be able to put theory into practice by contributing to our projects, from Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) up to the implementation of the Eco-design principles in new product developments.

Holding this position will enable you to interface with various key stakeholders from both our Competence Centers and Manufacturing Units spread around the globe.

You will be mainly accountable for: Assess the environmental impacts of a product throughout its entire life cycle (LCA), starting from the development phase.

Contribute to the identification & implementation of the Eco-design principles (and related KPIs) applicable to new product development with the goal of optimizing their environmental performances.

Stay abreast of trends & best practices in the field of Eco-design & Product Sustainability.

Contribute to Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) preparation & verification activities.

Collect & analyze large volumes of data from diverse sources to evaluate the environmental impacts of design choices identifying opportunities for optimization and innovation.

Perform assigned tasks including definition, approach, analysis, review, and implementation on schedule and within budget.

Cooperate with other functions & departments contributing to the division Sustainability Targets achievement. Qualifications for the role A bachelor's or higher degree in electrical / mechanical or relevant sciences.

1-4 years of experience in product design & development, quality, value engineering, costing.

Experience in LCA modeling software (SimaPro as a plus).

Experience on Eco-design and Life Cycle Thinking projects.

Knowledge and passion about Circularity and Sustainability.

Highly motivated team-player with a collaborative, learning & solutions-oriented approach, and strong communication skills.
