This is a position with grade 16, reporting to the R&D Local Unit Lead.

Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the processes in maintaining and preserving the efficiency of all the electrical and mechanical maintenance on laboratory testing equipment, following the maintenance procedures and machinery instruction manuals. Your efforts will result in the optimization of technical resources.

The work model for the role is: #onsite.

This role contributes to the ABB Electrification Business area, particularly for the Smart Power Division in Bergamo, with the main stakeholder being the Research and Development Department.

You will be mainly accountable for: Defining the details, test sequences, methods of execution or testing procedures, equipment, and instrumentation to be used, with reference to applicable standards; preparing the necessary test set-up and required measuring instruments; connecting the device under test to the testing plant and executing tests. Analyzing test results according to applicable standards for checking compliance of the product tested. Producing and developing activities required for processing test reports for tested equipment and issuing the reports. Proposing improvements in existing test techniques based on experience and use of new equipment, particularly for test and measurement equipment. Assisting and supporting customers during testing activities. Qualifications for the role High School Diploma in the Electrotechnical field or Bachelor Degree (3 years) in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic field. Highly skilled in Electrotechnical knowledge. Ability to demonstrate manual skills, analytical capacity, and interpretation of results. Qualified in computer skills, including programming knowledge and office software package and PLC programs. Passionate about precision, teamwork, and possess a high desire to learn and an attitude for problem-solving. Comfortable communicating in Italian and English.
