Summary:
The Reception at the private hospital is the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and staff.
This role is crucial in providing excellent customer service, ensuring efficient operations at the front desk, and contributing to a positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient and Visitor Interaction:
- Greet and assist patients, visitors, and staff in a courteous and professional manner.
- Provide information, directions, and assistance to patients and visitors.
- Appointment Scheduling:
- Schedule patient appointments and coordinate with various departments for efficient scheduling.
- Maintain appointment calendars and ensure accuracy in scheduling.
- Registration and Check-In:
- Register and check-in patients using hospital systems, ensuring the completeness and accuracy of information.
- Collect necessary forms, insurance information, and copayments.
- Answer incoming calls and respond to inquiries, transferring calls to appropriate departments or individuals.
- Patient Information:
- Maintain patient records and update personal and insurance information as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with patient confidentiality and data protection regulations.
- Administrative Support:
- Assist in various administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, and handling patient records.
- Support staff in communicating with foreign patients in fluent english language.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
- Problem Resolution:
- Address patient concerns, complaints, or issues in a professional and empathetic manner, escalating as needed.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to resolve issues.
- Security and Access Control:
- Monitor and control access to the hospital, ensuring a safe and secure environment.
- Issue visitor badges and verify the identity of individuals entering the facility.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a customer service or receptionist role.
- Proven experience in a medical setting.
- Proven experience in a medical laboratory service
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency in computer systems and office software.
(e. g.
scheduling software - Urania etc)
- Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare systems (preferred).
Performance Metrics:
- Patient and visitor satisfaction with reception services.
- Accuracy and efficiency in appointment scheduling and patient registration.
- Maintenance of a clean and organized reception area.
- Compliance with patient privacy and data protection regulations.
