Reporting directly to the Director of Advancement Data Governance, the Records Analyst is responsible for creating, enhancing and maintaining accurate alumni and various other constituent data using multiple information systems in order to maintain the highest level of data integrity.
This position will serve as the primary person to enter data and correct data incongruencies that are discovered through audits and end users.
Additionally, the Records Analyst will make recommendations for ways to improve the integrity of our data and assist with the documentation of all established procedures related to records management.
Duties and Responsibilities: Using a variety of resources, verifies, inputs and maintains accurate and detailed demographic records for over 200, 000 constituent records, including but not limited to biographical, employment, membership, activity and relationship information.
Perform accurate and timely data entry from data audit reports.
Manage three student employees (Records Assistants) including but not limited to posting, interviewing, and hiring.
Assist with documenting and updating policies, processes, and procedures.
Participate in UA Data Integrity group to assist in establishing standard processes and procedures for record entry.
Participate in the testing of all new or modified Information systems, applications, and programs.
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned or directed.
Minimum Qualifications: High School degree required.
2+ years of relevant higher education experience, preferably in Advancement Services.
General understanding of development industry standards, policies and practices.
Excellent analytical skills to understand complex processes.
Attention to detail and strong communication skills.
Proficient in Excel and experienced with Microsoft Office Suite applications.
Preferred Qualifications: Some college or Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
Experience with the integrated software suite, BANNER, preferred.
Previous experience with SalesForce and Cognos a plus.
Salary Posting Information: Commensurate with experience.
