Requirements The position may require working planned and/or unscheduled overtime to meet mission requirements.
This position requires Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel approximately 20% or less of the time away from the normal duty station.
The incumbent must apply and maintain a US No-Fee Passport upon employment and Italian Visa.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
Qualifications Knowledge and understanding of the requirements and operations of the DoD and Department of Navy (DON) programs to provide military and family members assistance, training, and education on parenting, childhood practices, and other FAP and suicide prevention initiatives.
Knowledge of a wide range of current professional techniques, theories, practices and procedures of clinical psychology or social work to identify problems, select and recommend appropriate practice models to use across client populations.
Knowledge of program concepts, principles, practices, and procedures and the ability to apply this knowledge to difficult and complex case assignments in order to develop new methods, approaches, or procedures.
Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative techniques for measuring effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of assigned programs.
Ability to perform qualitative and quantitative analysis of pertinent data and develop findings.
Ability to prepare written findings, and recommendations in a detailed, clear, and concise manner and deliver recommendations at management briefings.
Ability to identify needs, trends, and performance measures to evaluate program effectiveness.
Skill in analyzing, evaluating, and interpreting a wide variety of issues, methods, and techniques.
Skill in developing new procedures and approaches to identify significant issues and formulating policy or procedural solutions to resolve problems of a unique nature.
Ability to establish long range, intermediate, and short range plans; allocate/identify resources and provide a reporting and evaluation system to determine program effectiveness.
Knowledge of dynamics and diagnostic skills necessary for family violence and suicide related behavior identification, suicide risk assessment and safety/lethality planning.
Knowledge or experience in working with military families and knowledge of military community support programs.
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Education Must be Tier III qualified in accordance with SECNAVINST 1754. 8 requirements.
This Includes Possession of a current, valid, unrestricted license or certification that provides legal authority to provide clinical services as an independent practitioner in the fields of Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Licensed Professional Counselor/Licensed Mental Health Counselor.
Possession of a masters or doctoral degree in one of the following disciplines: Marriage and Family Therapy from a program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education (COAMFTE) or an equivalent degree.
Social Work from a school accredited by Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) or an equivalent degree.
Counseling from a program accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Education Programs (CACREP) or an equivalent degree.
Psychology from a doctoral program approved by the American Psychological Association (APA) or an equivalent degree.
Have engaged in 2 years (includes at least 2000 hours), of full-time, post-masters supervised clinical experience.
Have engaged in two years or 2, 000 hours post-licensure full-time clinical experience in a clinical setting.
Additional Information Salary is dependent on experience and/or education.
Some positions have special requirements.
Selection may be tentative pending the completion of these requirements.

Household goods may be shipped and a Living Quarter Allowance (LQA), is paid to cover monthly housing and utility costs.
Applicants recruited from the United States are entitled to a tax-free Post Allowance (PA) and Living Quarters Allowance (LQA).
In addition, incumbents are authorized use of the Navy Exchange, Defense Commissary and MWR programs.
