Regional Collection Manager
By joining Emerson as **Regional Collections Manager (M/F/d) **, you will become part of our Customer Financial Services Europe (CFSE) Team.

In this pan European role, based **anywhere in Europe where you have easy access to an international airport **, you will manage a portfolio of key customers, collaborate with European Regional Collections team and assist team members based in a European Global Financial Services (GFS) who act as Service Providers to CFSE.
Your main priority is minimizing arrears, improving recoveries, and reducing costs by effective and efficient management of resources and activity.
**IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL**:
- Implement strategy for achievement of receivables targets but also take a "hands-on" approach
- Provide direction and focus through regular meetings and ensure compliance with established company credit policies and procedures
- Mentor, guide and empower remote collection team members to deliver on collection related metrics
- Champion mutual collaboration between site-based collectors and GFS based collection team
- Regularly review major overdue accounts, take action and/or instigate and support dispute resolution with the business
- Establish and promote positive relationships with strategic customers and sales team, carrying out customer visits as required to enable this
- Help develop, recommend, implement and maintain computerized collections systems
- Improve cash flow inwards by setting ambitious collection targets and influence the collections teams to achieve the desired results
- Review overdue accounts management & collections strategies and recommend changes to improve cash collections
- Support the CFS Management Team and Sales Management
- Connect and advise (e. g.
support the GFS team in their efforts to collect on their difficult transactional accounts, intervening if action guidance is requested; liaise with local Finance Director/s to ensure that there are adequate provisions for bad debt and sales and returns allowances; work with local Customer Care Directors to ensure focus on timely resolution of disputes etc.
)
**FOR THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED**:
- ICM (Institute of Credit Management) or equivalent credit qualification desired
- Several years of proven multi-country / regional Credit & Collection experience (dealing with key high value accounts, directly communicating visiting customers) is essential
- Extremely computer literate (must include Advanced Excel)
- Proficient in English language and an additional European language
- Travel in Europe (up to 15%)
