Regional Fuels Specialist
You will serve as a REGIONAL FUELS SPECIALIST in the Regional Fuel Department of NAVSUP FLC SIG GF. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:Operating and maintaining complete fuels distribution system(s) to receive, store, transfer, and issue bulk, aviation, and ground fuels, including petroleum products distribution equipment, and controlling the movement and storage of petroleum products throughout the complete pipeline or tank farm systems. Inspecting fuel systems for leakage, corrosion, faulty fittings, and inoperative components such as distribution lines, storage tanks, hydrant pits/outlets, oil/water separators, pumps, automatic/manual valves, meters, and system control rooms. Checking components for operation, adjustment, pressures, and external leakage under pressure, removing/cleaning/inspecting receipt and dispensing strainers, calibrating additive injectors, draining water from lines, tanks, filter separator vessels, and dike/containment areas. Inspecting and ensuring product quality compliance, drawing fuel samples for frequencies and exact testing following procedures listed in appropriate technical guidance, and preparing accurate reports for management use. Conducting statistical surveys of petroleum products where quality issues have been encountered, analyzing data, isolating trends, and recommending corrective actions. Maintaining accurate accountability and inventory of fuel using various DOD Fuels applications and systems such as FMD, VILKEY, EBS, AFHE, REPOL, and POLCAP.
