**POSITION OVERVIEW
Responsible for leading a team of account managers that are responsible for customer experience and growing account relationships through initiatives, standards, tools, and training and support procedures.
Responsible for leading the developing strategies focused on the customer relationship and revenue growth strategy.
Develop strategic partnerships to continuously improve our business relationships with our clients to optimize the growth potential in each account.
Manages a team within a discipline or department, typically comprised of career/intermediate professionals or Supervisors.
Ideally should be based in the South-Central of Italy
**MAJOR JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- **Targets**: Meet/exceed set targets.
Work with Director Sales to develop, set and monitor annual IOP targets for sales team.
Deliver key performance indicators and produce revenue forecasts for the director of sales and country manager / MD.
- ** Strategy Implementation**: Roll out and manage company strategy through territory plans taking responsibility for sales growth and business development within his / her designated segment.
Work with Director Sales and sales team to develop tactical plans to deliver company goals and maximise revenues and profit.
Collaborates with colleagues across the organisation to manage the alignment of their sales team with other VWR resources / support departments.
- ** Business Development**: Work with sales team within an assigned segment / territory to drive and initiate development of new business opportunities.
Take direction from Director Sales regarding market development plan to deliver future potential.
Ensure effective communication across business units.
Maintain and develop relationships with both internal and external customers.
- ** Management**: Lead, manage, and motivate individuals within their team.
Provide leadership by guiding teams through projects and opportunities.
Coach and develop people so that they have the direction, skills and tools to achieve set targets and create maximum engagement amongst the associates.
Providing regular coaching and performance feedback.
- ** Relationship Development**: Work with Account Managers, Product Specialists and other team members to help Influence critical stakeholders, business partners, and customers to take recommended actions in strategic matters.
Develop and maintain partnership relationships with senior level management within customers' organisations to uncover new business opportunities.
- Performs other duties as assigned
**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES & COMPETENCIES
- A good understanding of company' products, promotions, services and solution offerings for customers, as well as the underlying work processes, operational policies and procedures
- Understands VWR's operational processes, procedures and policies as well as the different VWR functions and their roles
- Broad understanding of VWR Product & Service portfolio
- Must have an in-depth understanding of relationship types and various buyer behaviours
- Fluent in oral and written English, preferably 1 or 2 more languages.
- Able to travel
- Based on the South-Central Italy

- A clear ability to manage customer interactions professionally by demonstrating excellent listening and organisational skills, and by using probing questions and reflective language to engage customers and build trust

- Ability to focus on the big picture and assist with project developments at customer sites
- Ability to see opportunities and have initial ideas around value adding solutions for the customer
- Strong coaching skills
- Strong ability to negotiate large global contracts
