**About the Role
- A position within the Global Transportation function supporting international shipments of military aircraft production and sustainment materials.
- Specific Responsibilities
- Supports import/export transportation activities including drafting and presenting export documentation and import entry instructions to Freight Forwarders and Customs Brokers.
- Interface with Customs Brokers, Freight Forwarders and other service providers to effectively provide import/export instructions.
- Responsible for creating and maintaining performance-based metrics.
- Interface with local military representatives to support transportation/logistics requirements.
- Assist in the implementation of all required licensing and permits associated with the exportation and importation of military related products.
- Responsible for managing European Union Customs Tariff codes for military related products.
- Execute compliance programs and tools designed by International Trade Compliance to increase awareness and knowledge of compliance policies, laws and regulations.
- Ensures regulatory reporting requirements are submitted timely for import/export.
**Required skills, qualifications and experience
- Experienced with Italy import and export regulatory requirements associated military products.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, and advanced level in Excel
- Must possess a level of knowledge that allows for the establishment of robust procedures that deliver executable transportation solutions across core functions and programs.
- Must have knowledge in supply chain management, freight forwarding and export regulatory compliance.
- Must be detailed oriented.
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- May require occasional travel.
- Must be able to read write and speak English and Italian.
**Desired skills, qualifications and experience
- Hazardous material shipping regulatory knowledge.
- Demonstrated ability to develop presentations.
