Job summary

We are looking for an experienced attorney to lead regulatory support for our rapidly growing transportation businesses in Europe.

This is an exciting position in a complex and evolving area that requires working with transportation lawyers, public policy and business leaders.

You will own analysis of transportation, sustainability and other legislation at both EU and national levels, develop and implement a comprehensive regulatory framework, identify key risk areas in Amazon's transportation businesses across Europe, and advise business leaders and transportation lawyers on strategic matters.

You will also work with our public policy team to monitor legislative development and present our position on key issues impacting European transportation industry.

The role is based in Luxembourg but in special circumstances we may consider alternative European locations.

Some travel may be required.

Key job responsibilities

**The attorney will**:

- Develop and implement a regulatory framework for our transportation business across Europe.

- Advise senior leaders and transportation lawyers on strategic regulatory matters.

- Identify risk areas in transportation businesses and recommend mitigation plan.

- Develop strategies for handling regulatory matters in creative, business-centric ways.

- Resolve issues that arise during regulatory interactions.

- Work with our public policy team on upcoming legislation concerning transportation.

- Build processes that mitigate risk, yet allow the business flexibility and freedom to move quickly.

- Proficiency in multiple European languages

- Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects at once, follow through, and meet deadlines

- A team player and consensus builder
