Reliability Instrumental Discipline Specialist
The Reliability discipline specialist is responsible for ensuring that reliability incidents are analyzed, evaluated, prioritized, and estimated.
Operating areas are Catalysts and Polymers production plants.
This role primarily focuses on supporting reliability improvement efforts and assessments of the installed infrastructure as well as the definition of new maintenance activities.
He / she performs and manages these studies, ensuring that norms and Company guidelines are applied as appropriate.
He / she interfaces with and coordinates with other parties (other Departments / Vendors) according to agreed objectives.
Maintains and analyzes reliability data and drives improvements related to reliability fundamentals such as production critical equipment, equipment maintenance strategies, gap closure assessments / regular audits, spare parts requirements, and reliability metrics.
Makes recommendations for long-term reliability improvements (including improvements that may be transferred to the capital project team).
Uses RCM / FMEA / Pareto process principles to establish and optimize proactive maintenance strategies for mechanical equipment.
Reviews, proposes, and manages electrical spare parts.
Updates preventive / predictive maintenance activities.
Support to other safety studies: Definition of RAM requirements for Vendors and EPC Contractors Support to spare parts management in case risk-based analysis is required Historical data analysis, in case estimation of RAM parameters is required Coordinates reliability activities and plans while respecting the operational needs of the installations.
Value-added preventive maintenance tasks: Applies value analysis to repair / replace, repair / redesign, and make / buy decisions.

Qualifications Education: Technical high school degree
Work Experience: 3+ years experience
Languages: Good written and oral English
Preferred Qualifications Technical knowledge: Basic physics.
Electronics and electrical engineering.
Installation and maintenance:
Control systems (DCS, ESD, F&G).
Measurement and regulation instrumentation (pressure, flow, temperature, level, analysis, flow regulators).
Deep understanding of sensors, control systems, and automation technologies.
Technical interventions: Control and calibration of analog and digital instruments.
Maintenance of instrumentation connected to systems managed by PLCs or DCS.
Reading and interpretation: Process diagrams.
Troubleshooting: Diagnosis and resolution of technical problems.
