Offer DescriptionForest planning needs information at different spatial and temporal scales.

Passive and active optical remote sensing now makes it possible to obtain spatially explicit data over large areas.

Such geographic data can be directly used to identify homogeneous areas of forest management that can be optimized to enhance forest ecosystem services such as wood production, protection from gravity events, and biodiversity conservation.

The main objective of the project is to map the forest biomass using innovative remote sensing methods.

Main tools for this type of research will be GIS, satellite and LiDAR remote sensing, and field data on forest structure.

Integration of different data sources will be the main strategy used to achieve the expected results of the project.
