Renewables Business Developer - Utility Scale Eemaxx Investments BV Bologna, Emilia-Romagna, Italy Location: Italy – with frequent visits to our offices in Bologna and Salerno Reports To: Head of Business Development Department: Business Development, Utility-Scale Projects Job Type: Full-Time Job Overview The Business Developer - Utility Scale is responsible for leading the development of large-scale utility renewable energy projects within the solar industry, BESS, and green hydrogen. This role involves identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and ensuring projects align with both regulatory requirements and the company's long-term growth goals. The ideal candidate possesses deep industry knowledge, strong project management skills, and a proven track record in large-scale energy project development. Key Responsibilities Source, initiate, and lead the development of utility-scale renewable energy projects from conceptualization to commissioning. Coordinate feasibility studies, land acquisition, permitting, and other preliminary activities required to move projects forward. Work with internal teams (engineering, regulatory, legal, and finance) to navigate project development stages. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, local communities, landowners, investors, and technology partners. Collaborate with the finance team to model project costs, forecast returns, and assess risks. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Economy, Engineering, Environmental Science, Renewable Energy, or a related field. 3 years of experience in utility-scale renewable energy business development. Proven track record in developing and closing utility-scale energy projects. Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks, permitting processes, and compliance requirements for large-scale energy projects.
