Who will you be working with?

CoFren' site is a leading manufacturer and supplier of brake pads for freight and passenger trains.

The site is located in Avellino (AV), Italy.

How will you make a difference?

As a R&D Engineer , reporting to the Senior Director, Design and Development BU Friction, you will be responsible for the study, formulation and continuous innovation of existing company products, alongside researching materials and developing new products, technologies, and production processes.

What will your typical day look like?

Study, formulation and continuous innovation of existing company products Materials research, development of new products, new technologies, new production processes Management of Chemical: SDS, TDS and internal specifications Study, in-depth study and improvement of the production processes currently in place Assistance in the proper execution and updating of procedures in compliance with environmental and safety obligations Study and understanding of the influence of raw materials on friction and physical properties, mechanical and thermomechanical Analysis of tribological and physical data of materials, products and raw materials Understanding and practicing the use of thermomechanical, mechanical and analytical tools that can serve to obtain data aimed at product development for rail and non-rail applications in friction Study of new analytical and testing methods applicable to friction materials What do we want to know about you?

Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering Experience in a manufacturing company is considered a plus Professional English and Italian languages Proficiency with MS Office Quick learner and proactive Open minded, curious and dynamic Legal authorization to work in EU is required.
