The objective of the FACE project concerns the next generation of robots for agriculture, where it will be fundamental to address the challenges, which are still open, towards safe and efficient implementation in highly challenging environments (e. g. , steep and uneven terrain). Planned activities in the project include:Development of dynamic stability criteria and anti-tip indicators for autonomous driving robotic systems. Development of methodologies and technologies for the awareness of the state of traction, terrain, and stability in articulated robotic platforms. Development of anti-rollover systems/methodologies for articulated robotic platforms. Experimental validation of the developed methodologies.
