Senior Technical Manager (CTO Designate) Cast Polyurethane ElastomersClient Overview:Established in the 70's, our client is a market leader in the manufacture of high-performance cast polyurethane elastomer components.

They are unique in having been originally a polyurethane trade moulder, they changed the business direction to become cast elastomer suppliers. Today they concentrate on supplying high-performance polyurethane cast elastomer systems for a wide variety of applications in numerous industries and can fine-tune urethane chemistry to meet the requirements of most markets. Senior Technical Manager Focus:The Senior Technical Manager will be responsible for the development of company products, providing technical support to sales and customers and troubleshooting any issues that arise.

Accountable for the technical strategy, you will influence how the company's technology will develop and in turn help the growth of the business.

You will lead a cross functional team of 7 or more in R&D, Quality and Project Management. This role will have the potential to take over as Chief Technology Officer in the near future. Key Responsibilities:Provide direction and support to the technical and quality teams for the development of resources to meet the current and future business strategy and activity needs. Track and evaluate product development initiatives, reporting on progress to key stakeholders at the different stages of the development lifecycle. Provide the sales team with technical support while accompanying them to customer sites. Provide guidance and leadership to resolve technical challenges for customers, ensuring appropriate resources are aligned to projects where needed. Maintain compliance of company accreditations, polices and other certification requirements, stipulated by customers or regulatory authorities. Liaise with all operations to ensure quality standards are being met. Manage budgets and cost saving initiatives. Candidate Profile:Working experience specifically with Cast Polyurethane Elastomers is essential. Proven experience leading teams, continuous improvement and change management. Degree Educated in Chemicals, Materials Science or relevant field. Proven experience setting and delivering technical strategies. Strong problem-solving skillsConfident with customer facingFor reasons of better legibility, the simultaneous use of the language forms male, female and diverse (f/m/d) is avoided.
