Rud Pedersen Public Affairs regularly offers opportunities for motivated trainees to join our growing Brussels public affairs consultancy for a 6-month, paid internship.

Our Brussels office opened in 2017, and we currently have a team of around 75 people across all of our business functions.

We offer the opportunity to work and grow in a fast-paced and energetic consultancy environment.

Anyone joining will have the opportunity to develop within the Rud Pedersen team, working with our Brussels partners and the wider company.

The position Responsibilities generally include:

Following EU developments and undertaking initial research on policy issues on behalf of clients; Supporting the team with legislative, regulatory and press monitoring; Helping to organize and execute events; Taking an active role in client teams, suggesting improvements for servicing of clients with regards to research; Participating at external events relevant to day-to-day work and seeking to build relationships with external actors at an appropriate level; Building competence at undertaking public affairs tasks on behalf of clients.

Our ideal candidates for this position will have the following profile:

Experience working with or in the EU institutions, national governments, consultancies, European Associations/Federations; A good level of education in relevant fields; Interest and preferably some policy knowledge in the fields of Environment and Energy; Technology; Industry; Finance or Agriculture & Food.

An enthusiasm for conducting public affairs and communications in all its forms, from direct outreach to social media engagement; Interest in helping to organise and manage events; Full professional proficiency in English, with working knowledge of another EU official language; #J-18808-Ljbffr
