European Union / Next Generation EU Offer Description Project title: D³ 4 Health – "Digital Driven Diagnostics, prognostics and therapeutics for sustainable Health care" The researcher will be involved in the PNC (Nation Plan for investments complementary to the PNRR) project entitled "Digital Driven Diagnostics, prognostics and therapeutics for sustainable Health care" (D³ 4 Health). The research activity will focus on the Automatica Scientific Sector (code SSD IINF-04/A), particularly Spoke 2 "Multilayer platform to support the generation of the patients' digital twin. " The researcher will define and develop new approaches for the modelling, optimization, management, and control of intelligent health care systems. This includes integrating data-driven and learning-based approaches with recent simulation technologies (e. g. , digital twins), and developing novel techniques such as optimization, identification, and predictive control algorithms to contribute to the definition and implementation of a patients' digital twin. The aims include: (a) prediction of disease risk, (b) accurate diagnosis and detection, (c) prediction of disease outcomes, and (d) optimal individualized therapeutic choice. Solutions will be validated on specific diseases using scenarios and real data from the D³ 4 Health Project. Scientific productivity goals: The researcher must engage in research activities, apply for patents, produce publications in indexed journals/conference proceedings, and disseminate research by participating as a speaker at national and international conferences. An annual detailed report on research activities will be prepared, evaluated by the responsible activity coordinator, and submitted to the Project coordinator. Teaching commitments: Not foreseen Required skills: The candidate must have research experience in modelling and simulation of complex systems, particularly human interaction systems and industry applications; implementation of optimization models and algorithms; and development of optimal control techniques. Required computer skills: Extensive knowledge of MATLAB, Simulink, main optimization solvers, and relevant software tools. Maximum number of publications: 12 Required language: English. Language competencies will be assessed based on scientific publications and possibly through an interview.
