Italian Hospitality Collection | Full timeReservations Events Trainee | Anglo American Hotel Florence Curio Collection by Hilton | FlorenceFor our Sales Marketing Team, we are looking for a Reservations Events Trainee to be part of the Anglo American hotel in Florence, part of the Curio Collection by Hilton brand. The successful candidate will demonstrate a clear commitment to the philosophy of the brand, possess strong written and oral communication skills, and will be involved in event management, time management, project management, and MICE. He/She will be able to strictly follow all company and brand procedures and plans to contribute to achieving and exceeding the hotel targets in collaboration with the team. OBJECTIVE OF THIS ROLEListed below are the requirements recognized as the minimum level to be shortlisted for this internship role:Highly computer literate with excellent presentation skills (including PowerPoint), confident use of all Microsoft Office tools. Native or fluent in Italian (written and spoken). Fluent in English (written and spoken). Additional language would be considered a plus. Must be an EU Citizen or in possession of an Italian work visa. The Meetings Events Trainee we are looking for must be extremely organized, have good communication skills, and the ability to relate as well as perform with the operations team, the sales manager, and the reservations department. He/She will focus on supporting the negotiation and conversion of incoming group opportunities.
He/She can also create strong relationships with clients by supporting and following them in all steps of the negotiation process until the day of arrival. CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIESSupport in the management of RFPs, following company and brand standards procedures. Constantly update CRM with opportunities, calls, account information, tasks, and projects. Ensure that PMS (OnQ by Hilton) is properly and constantly updated with all necessary information (rates, inventory, etc). Focus on own KPI conversion according to the given goals. Event Groups Management from the first offer until the day of arrival of the client, when required. Contribute ideas to improve standards and new products and services offered. Support in the organization and follow-up of site inspections and Fam Trips on property when required. Personality and SkillsSets high personal performance standards. Plans, organizes, and uses a systematic approach to get things done. Manages own time effectively. Prioritizes actions and manages tasks through to completion. Pitches information at the appropriate level. Listens to the needs of others before contributing. Develops positive working relationships at all levels.
