On behalf of an important client - multinational pharma company with production sites in Italy - we are looking for a Safety Manager (EHS, Pharma) The Safety Manager (EHS Dept) will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing safety policies and programs to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. This role is crucial to maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations, identifying hazards, and proactively mitigating risks to prevent accidents and injuries. Key Responsibilities: Safety Program Development & Compliance: Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs that align with industry regulations and Company's global health, safety standards. Ensure that all safety protocols and procedures are in full compliance with company's internal policies, local, state, and federal regulations. Regulatory Compliance Monitoring: Ensure strict adherence to company's safety standards by conducting regular audits and inspections across all departments. Monitor operations to ensure compliance with company's global safety guidelines and industry-specific safety regulations (e. g. , OSHA, ISO, EPA). Training & Continuous Improvement: Develop and deliver training programs that not only cover OSHA and other regulatory requirements but also emphasize company's safety culture and best practices. Foster a culture of continuous improvement by engaging employees in proactive safety behavior aligned with company's high standards for health and safety. Incident Investigation & Root Cause Analysis: Lead thorough investigations of workplace accidents, incidents, and near misses, ensuring all actions taken are in line with company's Incident Reporting System and root cause analysis methods. Ensure that corrective and preventive actions are implemented to prevent recurrence and enhance overall workplace safety. Safety Audits & Inspections: Regularly conduct safety audits to assess operational compliance with company's EHS standards and identify any gaps. Work collaboratively with departments to develop and execute corrective action plans as necessary to ensure ongoing adherence to company's expectations for a safe work environment. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive records of safety audits, incident investigations, corrective actions, and training in accordance with company's standards for documentation and reporting. Prepare and submit reports to upper management and regulatory authorities as needed. Continuous Alignment with company's Policies: Stay up-to-date with any updates or changes to site's health, safety, and environmental policies, ensuring that all safety management activities reflect the most current global guidelines. Act as a key liaison between the safety team and other departments to ensure seamless alignment with company's overarching safety initiatives. Reporting to EHS Site Lead. Education: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience). MBA and PMO preferred. Experience and Skills: Proven experience as a Safety Manager or in a similar role (minimum of 5 years), with a strong emphasis on ensuring compliance with global safety standards such as company's EHS policies. Strong knowledge of ISO/OSHA regulations, local and international safety standards, and company's internal compliance guidelines. Required: Fluent knowledge of English. At least 5 years of experience in similar roles ideally in a pharma company. Experience in GMP Environment. Strong organizational and work planning skills/Strong communication and influencing skills.
