Hitachi Rail seeks a self-motivated O&M Manuals & Training Manager to lead a team of experienced writers and ensure interface management between Design and Build and the O&M team. About the Role The successful candidate will be responsible for: Managing a group of experienced technical writers to produce customers' operation and maintenance documentation. Ensuring timely provision of O&M deliverables and milestones in accordance with project schedules. Developing an understanding of how our customers use manuals and what content needs are helpful. Reviewing and implementing customer feedback. Identifying opportunities for process improvement. Accountabilities The O&M Manuals & Training Manager will have the following accountabilities: Manage a group of experienced technical writers to produce customers' operation and maintenance documentation. Ensure preparation and delivery of Operation & Maintenance Manuals, Illustrated Parts Catalog, and Training Program Plan. Ensure the preparation of Technical specifications for subcontractor's manuals and training courses. Participate in projects, bidding, and delivery phases within project schedules. Required Skills/Knowledge The ideal candidate will have: Pioneering Spirit. Integrity. Two to five years' experience as a project manager or people manager with a technical documentation team. Minimum 3 years' railway system engineering experience and knowledge of integrated systems that comprise a metro system. Ability to develop a working knowledge of technical products, processes, and applications. Desired Skills/Knowledge The ideal candidate will also have: Experience in modern Lean and Agile Organization. Operation and Maintenance Processes RAMS and Maintenance Plan process Planning and organization. Editing software programs.
