The Gritti Palace, a Luxury Collection Hotel belonging to Marriott International, is currently recruiting for a Restaurant Commis – Breakfast service. Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, the Commis will be part of a team of high-level professionals with a strong passion for F&B. It is a seasonal part-time role (30-hour working week). What you'll be doingWelcome guests and promptly attend to tablesServe food and beverages to guestsShare your menu knowledge to assist guests with questions and special requestsCheck-in with guests to assure satisfactionClean tables, complete closing duties and re-stock tableware and other suppliesCommunicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions, the length of wait, recook orders, and product availability, meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen. Follow cycle time guidelines for all mealsMaintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the dayInspect the cleanliness and presentation all china, glass, and silver prior to useFollow Standard Operating Procedures and brand identity guidelines at all timesWhat we're looking forYou must possess the legal right to work in Italy.

Valid work permit for full-time role (40 hours/week). Fluent in English and ItalianUnderstanding of F&B operations and luxury hospitalityExperience in the same role in fine dining restaurants would be an advantageA warm, people-oriented demeanorGreat conversational skills and teamwork-orientedThis role requires the ability to move and lift up to 25 lbs.
