Restaurant Manager
WHAT WE ARE SEARCHING FOR: Our marvelous resort, JW Marriott Venice Resort & Spa , is looking for a passionate, brilliant, talented Restaurant Manager. Role : Restaurant Manager Oversees the daily operations of the restaurant and assists with menu planning, maintains sanitation standards. Supervises the job of servers and hosts. Makes sure of guest satisfaction. Manages the financial performance of the restaurant. Determines the training needed to achieve the restaurant's financial and quality goals. Key Responsibilities: Lead by Example: uphold the service standards expected. Ensure Guest Satisfaction: create a warm and welcoming experience for all guests, ensuring their expectations are always exceeded. Maintain Expertise: possess an outstanding knowledge of all food, wines, cooking techniques, and allergy requirements to provide appropriate advice to guests. Oversee Operations: manage the day-to-day operations of the restaurant team, ensuring exceptional standards are delivered and maintained. Hands-On Management: run and oversee shifts, maintaining a hands-on approach within the operation. Maintain Cleanliness: ensure the restaurant is always impeccably presented, with a strong focus on cleanliness and hygiene. Manage Inventory: competently handle the ordering and control of stock items to always ensure availability. Back-of-House Management: oversee cleanliness, hygiene, stock control, and wastage in back-of-house service areas. Adhere to Policies: perform all duties under established company policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of the position. Collaborate with the Kitchen: maintain a strong and effective relationship with the kitchen team. Train and Mentor: be responsible for training and mentoring the front-of-house team. Optimize Sales: work alongside the F&B Manager to develop the business and optimize sales. Duty Management: perform duty management shifts as required. Qualifications: Experience: a solid background in the hotel or restaurant sector (preferably Luxury properties). Passion for Food and Beverage: a true passion for all things food and beverage. Communication Skills: strong communication skills (verbal, listening, writing). Commercial Awareness: sound commercial and financial awareness. Organizational Skills: proven organizational skills. Team Leadership: proven track record as a strong team leader. Attention to Detail: a keen eye for detail. Food Knowledge: a passion for and strong knowledge of food and beverage, including an understanding of ingredients, cooking methods, and dietary requirements. Consistency: ability to manage team members to deliver consistent quality of service. Guest Experience: the determination to create a memorable guest experience.
