JOB SCOPE AND MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:   The associate will have ownership of the analytical efforts in supporting the Retail Merchandising team for the Global Assortment & Planning activities.

This individual will be responsible of carrying on end-to-end Data Science projects, identifying key business drivers, finding automation & optimization opportunities, and assessing outcomes from previous implementations.

Projects will be focused on innovation, automation, optimization, Big-Data Analysis and Machine Learning models to support operativity and data-driven decision-making.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND RELATED ACTIVITIES:         Assist in the analytical efforts of the Data Science & BI team in supporting Retail Merchandising team for the Global Assortment & Planning activities.

Help in identifying key business drivers to be used in Data Science projects.

Develop end-to-end Advanced Analytics, Data Science, Automation, and Optimization projects to improve the business teams' decision-making and operativity.

Follow the CRISP-DM process and Agile methodologies to cooperate effectively with other Data Scientists and Data Analysts.

Act as a thought–provoker and create a culture to resolve business needs utilizing a fact-based approach.

NETWORK OF INTERACTION:   INTERNAL : Retail Assortment Team, Store Planning, IT EXTERNAL : Consultants     TECHNICAL SKILLS - PORTRAIT OF A PERFECT CANDIDATE:   Educational Background in: Bachelor's / Master's degree level in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Advanced Analytics and Data Science.

Ability to deal with Big-Data using Data Mining techniques.

Expertise in statistical analysis and AI methodologies (focus on Machine Learning, Time Series Forecasting, Recommendation system NLP, Generative AI) Proficiency in Python programming.

Familiarity with modern Agile methodologies and software development tools using Git.

Overall understanding of Data Visualization & Business Intelligence, both using Python (plotly, streamlit) and BI tools such as Microsoft PowerBI (preferred) or similar Curiosity and interest in emerging topics related to AI & Data Science; willingness to be a continuous learner sharing insights with colleagues fostering a collaborative environment.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to synthesize and convey analytical findings to non-technical audiences.

Basic knowledge of SQL and Database Management Systems is a plus.
