Objectives: To be primarily responsible for the management of the directly operated stores in Europe, overseeing the staff and training needs within it.
This will include personnel management, exceeding defined business targets whilst working within given budgets and building the brands image through sales. This is a maternity cover positions on a 12 month fixed term contract.
Key Responsibilities: Sales Strategy & Targets Manage and coach store managers to ensure that all sales targets set by the Company are exceeded.
Ensure that a strong client base is being built and maintained.
Devise and execute strategies for sales generation in order to meet annual targets.
Maintaining awareness of local & luxury market trends and monitoring local competition activity.
Initiating changes to improve the business, e. g; revising store hours to ensure stores compete effectively in the local market & markdown planning.
Building relationships with local and VIP clients; works closely with the PR department and coordinates events.
Set up training programmes to include implementation of sales techniques, history and core values of the brand, product knowledge and market awareness.
Co-ordination with Marketing and PR on event planning and execution.
Involvement with CRM strategies to drive the business.
Store Standards and Customer Care Showcase exemplary customer service and resolve customer situations diplomatically when they are escalated to you.
Liaising with the relevant store manager where necessary in order to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
Frequently visit the stores within your remit to ensure high standards are being kept and a good relationship with managers and staff is maintained.
Encourage and foster cross selling across the store network.
Attend seasonal shows & collection presentations for main purposes of regrouping with retail team & attaining in-depth product knowledge and awareness of new brand developments.
Manage and communicate WW retail.
Work with Operations/ SM's re sell through analysis and stock allocation in order to optimise selling, working with Buying and Merchandising to optimise stock and sell through Working with VM Department to make sure all correct products are showcased and store image is in line with company standards.
Personnel Management As the key member of the management team you must lead and motivate staff by being a role model and setting an exceptional example to all staff.
Provide and coaching regarding performance issues and seeking advice from the HR department or local HR team where necessary.
Where concerns need to raised formally, work with HR to ensure the Company's obligations are met to make sure a fair and consistent processed is followed.
Liaise with Retail Director & SMs to review weekly trade, address any problems & create/ implement plans.
Taking ownership of the recruitment process, seeking authorisation to recruit, sourcing candidates and conducting interviews.
To carry out yearly appraisals for store managers, following the Company's procedure and providing constructive and comprehensive feedback, as well as setting individual objectives for development.
To have an understanding of your staff's training needs and to liaise with the HR Department to develop ways to implement your training needs.
Regularly update staff on business performance and new initiatives.
Orders stores uniforms.
Responsible for overall stores appearance (including staff personal appearance) and maintenance of the visual merchandising standards.
