Research Title: Characterization of the NF-Y / MCT1 / lactate axis in the aggressiveness of Prostate Cancer, within the interdisciplinary project: "Transcriptional reprogramming of lactate metabolism in prostate cancer: druggable vulnerabilities for therapeutic and diagnostic applications".

Research Objectives: This study aims to characterize the NF-Y / MCT1 / lactate axis at the molecular level in the context of Prostate Cancer (PCa) aggressiveness.

Cellular and molecular analyses will be carried out to ascertain if the transcription factor NF-Y, the monocarboxylate transporter MCT1, and lactate metabolism cooperatively support aggressive PCa.

The studies will be performed on PCa cell models using loss and gain of function approaches.

Qualifications: PhD in a field relevant to the project, or a Master's degree in Biology or Medical Biotechnology (Italian LM-6, LM-9, or equivalent); Expertise in cell biology and molecular genetics; Solution-oriented and positive mindset with the ability to work in a team.

Type of Contract: Junior researcher (Assegno di Ricerca junior), 12 months.
