Offer DescriptionNowadays, the treatment of choice for acute aortic syndromes and aneurysmal diseases of the aortic arch, thoracic, juxtarenal, pararenal, and thoracoabdominal aorta is endovascular, using fenestrated or branched endoprosthesis (FB-EVAR) for supra-aortic trunks or visceral vessels, due to lower postoperative mortality and morbidity compared to traditional surgical treatment.

However, such procedures can present neurological complications (stroke 3-16%), often caused by cerebral embolization.

Some studies in the literature report the occurrence of silent brain infarctions (SBI) in cases where upper limb access is used for FB-EVAR.

The aim of this project is to verify, quantify, and detail, even through brain magnetic resonance imaging (DW-MRI), the rate of SBI and neurological events in FB-EVAR performed for treating all pathologies of the aortic arch, thoracic.
