NoOffer DescriptionThe aim of the project is to investigate the dynamics between typological and sociolinguistic factors in determining linguistic variation, through case studies that take into particular consideration elements such as contact, diachronic tendencies, standardization, and preservation of linguistic heritage.

In accordance with the Department's research interests, the project will have to be developed with specific attention to the micro-variation existing in the Italian context, focusing on morphosyntactic aspects of the varieties of Italian and Italo-Romance dialects, in synchronic and diachronic perspective, also evaluating them in their typological implications.

Carrying out the project requires profound theoretical and methodological awareness and the ability to create and manage new resources for research, such as databases and corpora.
