Offer DescriptionThe candidate will explore the role of the medial posterior parietal cortex in monitoring arm movements with transcranial magnetic stimulation.

Responsibilities include:

Designing a task that involves movements with visual and somatosensory perturbations.

Applying TMS protocols.

Applying neuronavigation techniques.

Collecting kinematic, ocular, and behavioral data.

Comparing the results obtained with appropriate statistical tests.

The candidate will learn programming techniques (Matlab), behavioral data analysis techniques (kinematic and oculometric), and computer techniques for data analysis, storage, and sharing.

The project starts from neuroscience and basic research but also takes into account skills and possible applications in aerospace medicine and biomedical engineering, thus showing an important social impact on human health.

The work to be performed in the present research project will involve the use of behavioral data from experiments on healthy participants.
