Rooms Division Manager
Located in the vibrant heart of fashion district of Milan, The Carlton, opening in 2025, will have 71 rooms and suites, a restaurant, a wellness center and an exclusive garden lounge with an amazing view of the city. Designed by Olga Polizzi in collaboration with Paolo Moschino and Philip Vergeylen, the interior will combine tradition and modernity, delivering an authentic Milanese experience. Situated in a prime location overlooking Via della Spiga, renowned for its luxury boutiques, and just a few steps from Via Montenapoleone, The Carlton is set to become the new landmark of the fashion district.
**The Position
**ROOMS DIVISION MANAGER
**Main purpose**:
The Rooms Division Manager is responsible for Front Office and Housekeeping. He/She is
one of our Ambassadors of Excellence: quality and Guest care will be his/her main focus. You will be responsible for the operations, strategies and development of Rooms Division Department, ensuring the highest standards of service. You will support and coordinate the department Managers in order to achieve the relevant key performance indicators of the property.
**Reports to**: Hotel Manager.
**Main duties & responsibilities**:
- Responsible for Room Division (Front Office, Housekeeping, Maintenance and Concierge departments) effective management and standards delivery. He/she will be the role model of Rocco Forte Hotels service style: great attention to personalization of Guest service and interaction and exquisite knowledge of the location.
- Responsible for selection, appraisal and professional training and development of the Rooms Division department staff. Responsible for talent management, acting as a coach and trainer for all the Room Division staff;
- Responsible for ensuring that Guests are greeted in a warm and professional manner, in accordance with Rocco Forte Hotels standards;
- With the help of the Heads of Department, he/she develops an operating budget for the Rooms Division revenue, costs, staffing and all necessary equipment, monitoring and taking corrective actions to help assuring that budgeted sales and cost goals are attained.
- Assists the Hotel Manager in order to assure compliance with health and safety regulations in the Room Division.
- Develops and implement innovative strategies to improve the Guest experience;
- Assists the Hotel Manager and the General Manager with special projects (e. g. weddings, conferences and partnerships);
- Develops and implements strategies based on a deep understanding of competitor benchmarks and market trends;
- Cooperates with all the other Managers in order to achieve Hotel goals and to provide the best personalized experience to our Guests.

**Other requirements**:
- Fluent in Italian and English. A third language is preferred (Spanish, French or German);
- Professional experience as Room Division Manager in 5 stars hotels;
- Preferable degree in hotel management;
- Preferable evidence of self-development through specialized courses, conferences/workshops;
- Knowledge of Health & Safety provisions at international and national level;
- PC literate;
- Knowledge of our national labour contract.
