About the Position: This position is located in Livorno, Italy.
Camp Darby, US Army Garrison-Livorno is situated in the Tuscany region of Italy, an area that is rich in both history and culture.
Nearby is The Leaning Tower of Pisa, as well as the beach resort town of Tirrenia, which forms the southern reaches of the Italian Riviera.
Though a small military community of 1, 250 people near Livorno, Camp Darby has most facilities typical of CONUS based installations - just a bit smaller in size.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e. g. , Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e. g. , professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) conducting safety and occupational health surveys; 2) recommending measures to eliminate or control hazardous practices and conditions; and 3) preparing supplemental written safety procedures.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
OR
Education: Ph. D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL. M.
with a major study in safety or occupational health fields (safety, occupational health, industrial hygiene), or Ph. D or equivalent doctoral degree in other related fields that included or was supplemented by at least 24 semester hours of study from among the following (or closely related) disciplines: safety, occupational health, industrial hygiene, occupational medicine, toxicology, public health, mathematics, physics, chemistry, biological sciences, engineering, and industrial psychology.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%.
To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12.
Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18.
Add the two percentages.
