Job Description: Amazon is looking for a new member for its Prevention and Protection Service team.
Year after year, due to continuous growth, we need to work smarter to make workplaces safer.
To achieve this, we are looking for a Prevention and Protection Technician with a proactive attitude who can take extra steps to ensure Health and Safety throughout the Warehouse.
This position is crucial in the Health and Safety department, reporting directly to the Head of the Prevention and Protection Service.
Key job responsibilities Conduct Risk Assessments and verify the implementation of control measures until completion.
Prepare daily reports on internal metrics and report deviations.
Analyze workplace safety data, such as accident rates and Near Miss incidents.
Leverage your knowledge of regulations and Amazon procedures learned to conduct audits and advise employees and their supervisors on safe work practices.
Become an expert in your specific area of expertise while being careful not to share sensitive information outside your competencies and scope.
Continuously monitor the work environment, maintaining high attention to safety requirements according to Amazon's safety procedures.
Assist in investigating incidents and near misses to determine root causes.
Develop action plans to ensure ongoing compliance with regulations.
Always behave professionally while maintaining confidentiality during incident investigations.
Ensure flexibility in working hours to complete incident investigations, including availability to work shifts and weekends.
Be able to support the warehouse using specific tools and IT platforms.
Support the warehouse through ongoing training on health and safety topics.
A day in the life Verify information from the previous shift.
Implement daily, weekly, or monthly routines.
Conduct audits in the warehouse across all operational areas.
Daily interaction with Operations to verify the implementation of safety procedures.
Supervise and verify the safety management system.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS Possess ASPP qualification.
Degree in Safety, Engineering, or other specific fields as a minimum, with 6 months to 1 year of work experience in the Safety sector (including internship experience).
As an alternative to technical requirements, a high school diploma with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the role of ASPP/RSPP in production/warehouse environments may be considered.
Demonstrate understanding of relevant and essential safety regulations.
Meticulous attention to detail.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Able to work towards goals and deadlines.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Minimum English level A2.
Proactive and proficient in using Office suite and other infrastructure platforms.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Qualification/experience in Lean, 5S, and Kaizen.
Demonstrated ability to learn quickly while working with new processes and procedures.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Flexibility and adaptability to work shifts and meet business needs.
Team player contributing to a positive and stimulating environment.
Enthusiasm and self-motivation every day.
Knowledge or experience with Gensuite or other EHS applications.
Fluent in speaking and writing in English and Italian.
