ROLE
As Sales Area Assistant, the candidate will work closely with the Sales Area Manager with a strong focus on commercial activities both supporting the Sales Area Manager and developing a new customer portfolio.
The candidate will be involved in all the activities concerning the commercial department from new customer acquisition to existing customer orders fulfillment.
The candidate will be in charge of promoting all the products offered by the company such as cutter suction dredgers, special purpose dredgers, mining pumps, dredging components, marine equipment and many other products.
The area of interest will be both Italy and foreign countries with a specific focus on North and South America, Middle East and Africa.
As Sales Area Assistant, the candidate will work on scouting new sales opportunities, preparing offers and tenders, and providing assistance in contractual preparations.
Once signed the contract, the candidate will support Italdraghe team in ensuring product on-time delivery and granting client satisfaction.
Responsibilities General support towards the Sales Area Manager Identify new business opportunities Scout new potential clients Organize business trips in the geographic areas of interest to visit clients and promote Italdraghe products Develop, strengthen and maintain the relationship with existing clients Support in the preparation of both technical and commercial offers Prepare all the documentation to be submitted for tender participation interacting with all the other business functions needed Prepare and organize meetings, company visits and events Organize and support the participation of Italdraghe company in dredging/marine sector exhibitions both in Italy and abroad Professional Experience Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Engineering, Management Engineering or other Engineering Strong technical background in engineering Languages: spoken and written Italian and English Other languages: knowledge of at least one other language between French, German, Spanish, or Portuguese is a plus PERSONAL ATTITUDES Open-minded attitude to work with people from different countries, cultures, and different layers of society Strong attitude towards commercial and promoting activities Customer sensitivity, high efficiency and effectiveness in conducting daily activities Entrepreneurship attitude to propose initiatives to Italdraghe team Able to deal with multiple sales processes and contracts simultaneously Versatility, reliability, and accuracy Excellent organizational skills Team-working skills Problem-solving skills Full-time availability
