Job on Offer

We are looking for a Drillmaster who will be reporting to the Sales Area Site Engineers Manager.

Our Drillmaster is in charge to support our valuable customers within the Sales Area Southern Europe, Middle East and CIS, in the choice of the best rock tools selection to enhance their productivity and their profitability.

Our Drillmaster works closely with the Sales Team and as a partner to our customers by checking their needs, training their operators, helping to choose the right drilling parameters based on the different drilling conditions and ensuring that customers gets always the best from the Sandvik Rock Tools they use in their daily operations.

**Responsibilities**:

As a Drillmaster your main responsibilities will be:

- To be always up to date with the latest Sandvik Rock Tools product developments and propose the new products to be tested by customers who can get the benefits from.

- Work in collaboration with the Sales Team to increase the Sandvik Rock Tools penetration in the market driven by the enhanced performance, productivity and profitability for the Customer, either an existing one or a new one.

- Always strive to exceed Customers expectations proposing the best suitable products to decrease their cost and increase their productivity.

- Review the possible product claims from Customers driving the search of the problem's reasons and act as bridge between the Sales Team and the Product Line in the factory to find the fastest solution.

- Provide recommendations on care & maintenance, servicing of Rock tools, and correcting drill rig drilling parameters while using Sandvik Rock Tools to achieve best performance from the drilling tools.

- Travel extensively within the Sales Area (50 countries) to secure presence at the site and the best support to our Customers and our Sales Team.

**Profile**:

- Previous experience as drilling operator (minimum 5 years, if lower should explain clearly why can be a good drillmaster).

- Understand of drilling techniques and being used to drilling and blasting or geotechnical works.

- Understand the drilling parameters and how they can influence the drilling performance in terms of speed, hole quality (straightness, precision), rock tools life, blasting or consolidation results.

- A Mining Engineering or Mechanical Engineering scholarship is considered as a plus;

- Cooperative and willing to work in team even the job could require trips to remote locations.

- Very good verbal and written communication skills (both with internal and external stakeholders and Customers).

- Able to take fast decisions also in face of uncertainties within the given authority.

- Willing to travel extensively within Europe and out of Europe, sometimes with challenging weather conditions.

- Blasting engineer's certificate is also a plus.

- Availability of a car driver's license mandatory,

- Fluent in English and, preferably also in a second EU language (French, Italian or Spanish).
