This position reports toInnovation Enablement ManagerYour role and responsibilitiesAs a Sales Configurator Product Modeler / Developer, you will be a member of a newly forming team developing and maintaining sales configurator solutions supporting the operations and customers of ABB Electrification (EL) - Distribution Solution (ELDS) and Service (ELSE).
You will be working in a cross-functional team which operates in an international environment.
In this role, you will be responsible for the modelling and maintenance of distribution systems and service products (switchgears, grid components, and service offerings) in the new global ELDS/SE sales configurator platform(s).
You will closely collaborate with product sales configurators, portfolio managers, and engineers to design, implement, test, and troubleshoot the product models.
Together with the internal ABB IS and Business Teams, you will have a unique opportunity to learn the product portfolio and based on that, design and deliver the future platform ensuring it meets the needs of our customers and sales team. Your Responsibilities:Design, implement, test, and troubleshoot product models for ELDS and ELSE. Develop the product models as defined by the Product Managers / Sales Configurators Portfolio Managers and Engineers.
Ensure product models are well-structured to enable high-quality change management and simplify future maintenance. Collaborate with relevant IS and Business stakeholders to deliver a user-friendly and efficient Sales Configurator solution. Work closely with the platform supplier / implementation partner to ensure the integrity of the product model is guaranteed as the platform evolves. Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and fixing issues reported by users. Contribute to the overall sales configurator development process. Qualifications for the roleProven experience in product modelling and configuration within sales configurator tools. Experience in the software development process and tools like Azure DevOps. Experience in programming languages such as. NET, Python, Java, or similar. Solid team player with an independent and solution-oriented working style. Resilient in an agile and changing environment and open to learning. Knowledge of ABB's DS and SE Division portfolio is a plus. Experience in one of the sales configurator platforms like Tacton / Configit ACE is a plus. More about usWe value people from different backgrounds.
