For 60 years our Waltham Petcare Science Institute has been advancing science to better understand pet health.
We are currently looking to hire a driven Sales Director to join our team in Milan. In this role, you will be responsible for coaching a team of talented Territory Sales Representatives to reach their full potential.
**Main responsibilities**:
Recruit, onboard, develop and coach the Sales team to drive quality sales volume and enable them to achieve their sales goals
Create annual and cycle specific priorities to execute national, regional and account specific programs and to inspire the successful achievement of company strategies and priorities via in market execution
You will spend a considerable amount of time in field to support and coach Sales Representatives, in order to enhance performance and achieve business results
Effectively execute with the Sales Managers and the Medical Managers responsibilities inclusive of ongoing performance management and associate development
Build and maintain a comprehensive team engagement action plan to foster a high performing team environment
Perform quarterly audits to assess Salesforce effectiveness and to identify coaching opportunities
Partner with Sales and cross-functional Associates to identify and prioritize systems, tools and processes needed to deliver short term deliverables and long-term business strategies
Role model the ability to analyse sales data and leverage insights, acting as a resource to assist sales specialist in fact-based selling and solutions-oriented behaviours
Consistently demonstrate and hold team accountable for exhibiting the Mars Five Principles.
**Your profile**:
Previous experience in a similar role
Strong people leadership and relationship building skills are essential to be successful in this role
You are passionate about coaching and building high-performing Sales teams
You are results-oriented and have strong analytical skills
Previous experience in translating company strategies into actionable plans for specific regions
Fluency in Italian and a good level in both written and spoken English
Willingness to travel.
