Sales Director

**KEMIN FOOD TECHNOLOGIES is looking for a SALES DIRECTOR for the EMEA Region

**Responsibilities**:
In general, the Sales Director is responsible for meeting the budgeted sales and gross margin for his region, leading Technical Sales Managers.
They are responsible for providing leadership, managerial support, coaching and mentoring, and strategic assistance to the Technical Sales Managers.
They are also responsible for assisting the Technical Sales Managers with management of sales projects, the allocation of resources and clearing of hurdles that may hinder the effectiveness of the team.
Spefically the Sales Director will be asked to:
- Lead a winning sales organization.
- Be passionate about sales and responsible for developing a sales team to deliver our results in terms of sales, margin, and projects to obtain established financial results
- Create a sense of urgency focusing on solutions and connecting the people to build a customer centricity business.
- Manage the Technical Sales team under their responsibility in EMEA, ensuring the execution of the strategic planning of the areas.
- Ensure the implementation of the global/local strategy for the areas of their responsibilities.
- Responsible for preparing and managing the strategic plan of the areas under their responsibility, defining KPIs, and aiming at the continuous improvement of processes.
- Ensure mastery over the P&L by establishing monthly control of the results and reaching the budget.
- Responsible for creating and maintaining the Commercial Policy with the support of the Marketing and Financial areas.
- Align and validate the strategic Marketing plan with the Marketing area, guaranteeing the delivery of the plan's commercial results.
- Manage area pricing policy.
- Establish and manage commercial and territory management policies for the covered regions.
- Be a part of the leadership team of the Food business participating in strategic management actions.
- Conduct market intelligence initiatives, communicating new trends, technologies, and competitors' initiatives.
- Manage the distribution network with the support of the Technical Sales Managers, aiming to increase sales and the company's market share.
- Manage and implement, with the support of Marketing, national and regional campaigns, identifying opportunities to increase results and inventory management.
- Responsible for developing and training employees in the areas under their responsibility, ensuring they have the necessary skills and abilities to carry out their activities.
- Act following the company's internal rules and procedures, ensuring compliance by the entire team in the area.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in the Food Industry
- Must be able to utilize selling techniques as described through the Kemin sales process and can assist the Technical Sales Managers in following Multi-level Customer Contacts within their respective Account Portfolio as well as introduce New Products.
- Time management, prioritization of duties, organization of data, analyzing customer problems and recommending appropriate solutions.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and electronically.
- Experience as a team player, leader, and motivator; and the ability to present ideas effectively and communicate well with peers and all levels of management and subordinates
- A high degree of personal motivation, a desire to make an immediate contribution, and a distinct sense of urgency
**Decision Making & Freedom to Act**: This position reports to the President of Kemin Food Technologies.
It is a "hands-on" sales management and business development position with significant autonomy, breadth, and flexibility to exceed sales expectations.
