This is an exciting opportunity for a Director of Sales based in Rome.
As the Director of Sales, you will be responsible for driving the overall sales strategy and revenue generation for their hotel in Rome.
This role involves developing and executing comprehensive sales plans to attract both corporate and leisure guests, establishing partnerships with travel agents and tour operators, and securing contracts with corporate clients and event planners.
The Director of Sales will also be responsible for analyzing market trends, monitoring competitor activities, and identifying new business opportunities to ensure the hotel's financial success.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and maximize profitability.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, travel agents, and partners to increase market share.
Identify and secure new business opportunities in both the corporate and leisure sectors.
Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional campaigns and packages to attract different customer segments.
Monitor market trends and competitor activities to stay ahead in the competitive landscape.
Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and budgets for senior management.
Lead, coach, and mentor the sales team to enhance performance and achieve targets.
Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote the property.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the hospitality industry.
Pre-opening experience will be a plus.
Proven experience as a Director of Sales or similar role in the hospitality industry, preferably in a luxury hotel.
Strong understanding of the Rome market and existing relationships with local businesses and travel agents.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Experience in the Roman market is necessary.
Fluency in English and Italian; additional languages are a plus.
