The Gritti Palace is currently recruiting for a Sales Intern.

The successful applicant will be tutored by the Dir.

Of Sales and she/he will be part of a Sales department.

It is a full-time internship (40-hour working week made of 8 hours per 5 days and 2 days off).

The purpose of the Internship is to give the Intern an overview of the Company and Hotel organization and understand the role of the different departments.

Within the specific department, the Intern will shadow and actively support the Tutor in order to acquire professional skills.

In particular:

Promote awareness of brand image internally and externallyCheck availability of accommodations and dates to create a better Marriott experience or event, including finding alternative dates or options if first choice is not available, recognizing opportunities to up-sell the customer and sell enhancements. Manage mailing list/databaseWork on "Sales Presentation" and sales reportsMaintain guest loyalty to Marriott implementing new members for Marriott loyalty programs. Support Team Sales in back-office activities. Follow sellers during a site inspection to improve sales modalities and customer serviceReceive, record, and relay messages accurately, completely, and legibly What we're looking for Bachelor/Master Degree in Hospitality or humanitiesFluent written and spoken English and ItalianKnowledge of Microsoft OfficePassion for luxury hospitalityTeam Work, communication and problem-solving skillsCan-do attitude along with strong motivation and enthusiasmPositive outlook and outgoing personality Marriott International is an equal opportunity employer.
