Job Description Sales Manager – 5* Curio Collection by Hilton For the new opening of a 5* Hotel in Florence , branded Curio Collection by Hilton , we are looking for a Sale s Manager who will report directl y to the General Manager of the property.
You will constantly be looking for cooperation opportunities and increase sales for the transient individuals and business groups segment s. You will travel domestically but also to attend trade fairs & roadshows whe re requi red to further increase awarene ss for the hotel.
The Sales Manager is responsible for leading and directing the development and implementation of strategic sales and marketing plans and initiatives in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. The purpose of the role is to proactively position and market the property; manage the marketing budget to enable development of hotel specific campaigns, promotions, collateral, etc.
to drive revenue and meet business objectives.
The Sales Manager will work closely with the brand and revenue management, to develop and implement strategies to maximize Revpar and grow market share in a profitable way and grow market share as measured by STR.
Leads and manages all day-to-day activities related to the sales function with a focus on building long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of hotel sales objectives.
Strategies focus on delivering products and services to meet or exceed the needs and expectations of guests and provides a return on investment to the owner.
Duties and responsibilities COMMERCIAL A ctivation , account penetration and animation of the account portfolio of the hotel , where you are constantly looking for cooperation opportunities and increase sales for the whole company.
Develop strategy to solicit new and existing accounts to meet and exceed the hotels' revenue goals.
Informing the Key Account Directors from the Brand of hotel needs , follow the RFPs and drive them to generate sales at our hotels.
Account acquisition, through targeted sales activities to build your portfolio account, where your focus is on large-to-medium businesses.
Proactive involvement of general manager at the animation process accounts that are important to his /her hotel.
Arrange monthly production figures for the vario us segments.
Analysing mon thly production figures of the ac counts , identify the needs of the accounts an d take action if this is necessary.
The fully maintained and proactive use of the customer database.
Contribute to the planning and implementation of strategies and sales activities in transient and group segment s ; i dentify and prospect new business opportunities, new customers and new markets and ensure increase of the market share by closing high value sales deals.
Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships to support the long-term stability of the business, providing customer service that is beyond the expectation of the client.
Understand competitive landscape, local and feeder market dynamics, and changing customer needs to ensure property success.
Gather and organize information using a logical and systematic process; recognizing patterns and relationships in data to identify implications, problems and draw appropriate conclusions ; generate alternative solutions to problems; evaluate strengths, weaknesses and consequences of alternative solutions and approaches to solving problems.
PEOPLE Work together with the hotels, brand, and corporate teams to ensure the efficient day to day operation of the Sales and Marketing Department.
Contribute a consistent way of working within the team aligned by set SOP's and guidelines.
Be motivated, committed and enthusiastic, seizing opportunities to learn new skills.
Be able and willing to assist other team members to provide cover during holidays or other periods as required.
Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other team members/ management.
Participate and initiate departmental meetings, team briefings and project work.
GUEST SERVICES Build long term, commercially beneficial relationships within your customers/clients and guests.
Ensure a great experience throughout the whole sales process.
Ensure accurate and customer focused correspondence with cl i ents and stakeholders.
GENERAL Handle all administrative tasks in an efficient and timely manner
