Since launching in 2021_ new_cleo has quickly established itself as innovator in the field of nuclear energy. _new_cleo is working to design, build, and operate Gen-IV Advanced Modular Reactors (AMRs) that are cooled by liquid lead and fueled by reprocessed nuclear waste.
Through an innovative combination of existing and proven technologies, and by reviving a nuclear industry model based on the manufacture and multi-recycling of Mixed Oxide fuel, _new_cleo aims to close the nuclear fuel cycle while safely producing clean, affordable, and practically inexhaustible energy required for low carbon economies.
With a EUR 50m group turnover in 2024, more than EUR 400m of private funding and over 70 partnerships and collaborations across the nuclear industry, the growth of the _new_cleo group is supported through the targeted acquisition of key companies with strong capabilities in nuclear engineering, manufacturing, and waste management.
Through its workforce of over 800 highly qualified employees across France, the UK, Italy, Switzerland, and Slovakia, _new_cleo is not only developing and delivering the skills and services required for the group's own ambitious project timelines, but also supporting the development of Small Modular Reactor supply chains in Europe and beyond.
**Overview of the role**:
Newcleo's core business focuses on the design and build of Lead-cooled Fast Reactors and MOX manufacturing. Beyond our reactors and MOX manufacturing offer, we develop skills and services for our own projects and the wider industry via the newcleo Group of companies.
This includes the renovation of existing nuclear facilities, working on third party new build project and being actively involved on waste management and decommissioning projects
For this third party sales activities, we are recruiting a **Sales Manager**.
The Sales Manager has two main tasks:
- To act as Bid Team Leader
- To contribute to the business development activities for the commercialisation by _new_cleo of EPC services for the nuclear industry, mostly in Europe
**Bid Team Leader tasks encompass**:
- Do a first analysis of bidding opportunities and issue a short written summary to substantiate a Go/NoGo internal discussion
- Coordination of the bid team and internal stakeholders (Technical contributors, PMO contribution, Quality Assurance, Procurement and Legal)
- Take responsibility of the agregation of the costs to build up a price incorporating all the internal and external inputs.
- Coordination of the partners contribution in case of bid lead by newcleo (MOU, intermediate meetings, respect of schedule for the offer submission)
- Participation to the selection of subcontractors
**Business Development activities consists in**:
- Contribute to the sales strategy by proposing new prospects or identifying emerging markets and opportunities for expansion
- Document customer interactions
- Actively nurturing relationship with potential Partners and Clients and key subcontractors, for example by meeting regularly with Partners and Clients to discuss their needs
- Participating to public events/ conferences to promote the skills and services newcleo has to offer
- This position reports to the Executive Sales Director. _
**Location**:
- 10% to 20% travel required mostly in Europe
- Possibility to work in any of the French/Italian offices for 3 days in the week and up to 2 days remotely
**Is this role right for you?
We would like to speak to people who have:
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline, preferably mechanical or electrical
- Minimum of 7 years of EPC sales experience required preferably in the nuclear industry, if not in a structured industrial sector (e. g. aeronautics, defence, etc)
- A sales experience with some key European nuclear stakeholders (Clients and Partners)
- Preferably an experience as project manager or in a technical role
- Excellent writing and presentation skill in English. Italian speaking an advantage, to interact with our factory colleagues located mostly in Italy.
**Specific skills for the position**:
- Team work : Capacity to work in a matrix organisation and manage potential conflicts of priorities in a soft manner
- Presentation skills : Capacity to articulate and deliver the strong point of the Company's offer (for the group), both in written and verbal form
- Problem solving attitude
