**Job Description**:
We are looking for a Sales Manager with an established record of sales leadership, operational brilliance and revenue generation as well as ability, engagement and passion to drive an high performing team to achieve short and long-term goals.
The Sales Manager we are looking for is responsible for leading, developing and supporting the sales team in Italy, to ensure all sales efforts are moving towards the right and same direction and to defined and follow-up business plan and sales KPIs for the assigned territory.
The Sales Manager is therefore accountable for ensuring that the sales revenue is in line with the approved forecast.
The Sales Manager has also the responsibility to work closely with the other functions that support the sales cycle, such as marketing, distribution and sales engineerging and to ensure a strong team-collaboration within the assigned territory.
Hiring, leading and mentoring a team of sales profiles is the other main responsibility of the Sales Manager.
He/she will need to act accordingly to Axis expectations on leaders: as a business leader (strategic thinking, leading change), people leader (develops him/herself and team members) and organizational leader (develops the team and enables cooperation).
As part of the Southern Europe Regional Management team he/she is part of leading the direction of the region both within the functional responsibility and as a role model.
The role is part of an international organization and travel within the region and to Axis' HQ in Sweden will be considered a natural part of the job.

What you'll do here as (Job Title)?
Strategy & Planning
- Support the development of the business plan, providing market input to adjust the business plan over time and fine tuning the targets for the team
- Contribute to and participate in regional strategy development for the mid
- to long term
- Responsible for producing monthly reports for sales activities and accurate forecasts on sales, service performance and other initiatives within the team.
This includes keeping all the systems up to date and accurate, so that the correct follow up can be made on an individual level, through existing systems (mainly Salesforce)
- Monitor processes that are in place and come up with suggestions to continuously improve efficiency of the sales organization
- Participate in yearly forecast process and set yearly sales targets together with the Regional Director and the Regional Finance Manager, as well as propose/adjust a scalable organizational structure
- Establish and nurture relationships with Key Stakeholders, from distributors to the main system integrators and end customers
- Driving and follow up activities after trade shows, exhibitions and other marketing activities, so that we get a high return of sales out of those initiatives
- Represent Axis in the advertising community by seeking out and participating at industry events, associations and press interviews
- Responsible for developing activities to ensure increased business.
- Sharing ideas and best practice; manage cross-border sales in a professional way, nurturing a strong virtual sales leader team.
- Take on specific projects as defined by his/her line manager, relating to driving customer activity, sales and process improvements.
Building and Leading the team
- Being a bearer of our company culture with the core values as a guiding star
- Responsible for our performance management process for his/her direct reports, identifying areas of development for individuals and closing gaps.
Support development and learning
- Lead, coach and develop a sales team made of Key Account Managers (both towards system integrator and end customer) and Inside Sales Account Managers
- Responsible for managing project pipeline and handle project pricing within set guidelines
- Set team goals/SMART KPIs and monitor individual contribution (performance) to the goals
- Sharing ideas and best practice; manage cross-border sales in a professional way, nurturing a strong virtual sales leader team.
Regional Management Team
- Actively take part in the decision making in the Regional Management team, working closely together with the Regional Director and the other colleagues in the teams on a day to day basis.
Represent the region internally, sharing ideas and best practice
