Sales Specialist

**Job Description**:
As Sales Specialist at LGC Standards you will build strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and grow the territory revenue of the Standards business, with a primary focus on the Reference Materials and Analytical Standards product lines.
In this role you are first point of contact and provide technical sales support to our clients ensuring a smooth process and positive customer experience.
**Key Responsibilities
- Own all transactional accounts in an assigned geography and represent the entire LGC Standards product portfolio at new and existing customers, across all end-markets such as Pharma, Biotech, Environmental, etc.
- Identify and close new prospect opportunities, generated from a combination of prospecting and qualification in collaboration with our marketing department or self-generated leads
- Use LGC's sales tools and virtual capabilities to prospect, nurture, close opportunities and conduct ongoing territory planning
- Close cooperation with marketing to launch new products and the core end-market team to identify competitor activity and trends
- Be responsible for the daily management of relevant service cloud cases, ensuring tasks are dealt with and a proper response time is guaranteed
**Qualifications**:
- Scientific background with a degree in any applicable sector: Pharmaceutical, Life Science/Biotech, Environmental/Food/Life sciences, Industrial sciences or chemistry
- Experience in selling technical products used in research and/or analytical laboratories
- Open and adaptable personality with a desire to succeed in a commercial environment
- Experience in generating and managing leads
- Team player; collaboration with colleagues from different departements
- Proficiency in Italian and strong English skills are a must
