What you can expect - Job Purpose Jobholder ideally lives in Emilia Romagna or Veneto area and will be part of the local country marketing & sales team (Marketing & Sales Division), reporting to the Area Sales Manager North. National travel is required, along with some international travel to ensure proper follow-up with strategic and key customers' activities abroad. As a Sales Specialist, you will develop market position and market share of BASF | Nunhems crops, as well as build long-term relationships with potential national and/or international complex and/or multi-crop customers that are of strategic importance for BASF | Nunhems to gain a strong position in the reference markets in line with the M&S strategy to realize profitability and partnership. What you can expect - Major Tasks & Responsibilities Plan, review, adapt and execute the annual and/or more annual sales plans in line with M&S strategy of BASF | Nunhems. Introduce company products and services to customers in line with M&S strategy. Coordinate the Customer Team to assure successful management and implementation of customer business plans with all related short- and long-term objectives. Build long-lasting trustful relationships with selected customers. Develop a thorough understanding of customers' needs, requirements, and objectives to improve the customer experience. Marketing Provide market, price, and product information in line with M&S strategy to contribute to the formulation of the marketing and sales plan together with Customer and Crop Marketing. Improve APV market intelligence in the working area, updates on market trends, new traits, and potentials that could open new sales opportunities. Contribute to strengthen the knowledge and excellence of the Global and Regional Crop Teams. Cash Management Responsible for money collection in line with the financial policy and the payment terms within BASF | Nunhems. Product Development Contribute to the trial program to propose new assortment. Manage new variety introductions: propose on price level and product forms in line with M&S strategy to contribute to the commercial success of new varieties. Together with the PD department, provide technical support to customers (e. g. , growing concepts). What we expect - Education, Work Experience & Skills Bachelor's degree in agriculture, business, or marketing. 3 years' experience in a sales-related position in the vegetable seeds business is considered a plus. Proactive approach to Key Account Management and customer relationship management processes. Proven relationship builder at all levels including company owners, decision-makers, and senior influencers. Excellent communication skills and fluent in English. Ability to plan and align: planning and prioritizing work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals. Very good commercial and negotiation skills. Ability to manage complex national and international customers. Flexibility to understand different and complex business needs. Strong interpersonal skills (assertive, collaborative, persuasive).
